In this unique position you will play a leading role in the operational work of Ambition North Wales to operate as a Corporate Joint Committee. Providing operational support across the Ambition North Wales team. Working with a range of stakeholders including the partner organisations and the private sector. Acting as the designated Data Protection Officer for Ambition North Wales. Taking the lead on managing all internal and external systems.

As Senior Operations Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing team resources, supporting delivery of the North Wales Growth Deal.
- Leading and managing internal systems (e.g. SharePoint, intranet, impact and project management).
- Leading executive support for the committees, ensuring quality and consistency in documentation.
- Managing up to five staff members.
- Coordinating operational support across the organisation. Act as Data Protection Officer and manage Freedom of Information requests.
We’re looking for a Senior Operations Officer with:
- Educated to degree level and evidence of relevant continuous professional development.
- Proven experience providing senior-level executive support.
- Demonstrated ability in resource coordination and operational leadership.
- Experience working in or supporting public sector or partnership organisations, ideally with exposure to governance structures (e.g. committees, boards).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with internal teams, senior managers, and external partners.
- Ability to work across teams and external bodies to support shared goals.
- Proven line management experience, ideally managing a small team (up to 5 staff).
- High standards of accuracy and consistency in documentation and processes.
The team have adopted a hybrid working model with a mix of Llandudno Junction office based and home working. In return, you will receive a salary of £50,269 - £52,413 per annum plus membership of the local government pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlement. This is a full-time role with Ambition North Wales; however, we will consider flexible working requests for the right person. This is a two-year contract.
