In the HGV Mechanic / Technician role, you will be:
- Carrying out inspections, servicing, maintenance, and repairs to HGVs and other service vehicles
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and undertaking appropriate repairs
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Keeping accurate records of work carried out and parts used
- Supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative workshop environment
To be successful in the HGV Technician, you will need:
- A recognised qualification in heavy vehicle maintenance/repair (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Proven experience working on HGVs and specialist vehicles
- A valid HGV driving licence (Category C or C+E)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience in multi-make commercial vehicle maintenance and diagnostics
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills using diagnostic equipment
This is a temporary role for a period of 1 month initially, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You’ll be based on site in Llandudno Junction and on an hourly rate IRO £18.41 (£35412 per annum), plus weekly pay, holiday accrual, pension and other benefits.
