We’re on the hunt for a meticulous and motivated Bookkeeper to join a growing business near Pwllheli, Gwynedd. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping the accounts in tip-top shape — from reconciling the bank statements to making sure the VAT returns are spot on.
What you’ll be doing:
- Keeping accurate financial records using Sage 50 Accounts.
- Processing invoices, receipts, and payments like a pro.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Setting up new customer and supplier accounts.
- Performing credit checks and assisting with factoring.
- Handling monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Preparing VAT returns and submitting to HMRC.
- Supporting payroll processing.
- Assisting with management reports and liaising with accountants for year-end.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Proven bookkeeping or finance experience.
- Sage 50 Accounts know-how.
- Solid understanding of UK accounting principles & VAT returns.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Friendly communication skills comfortable over the phone, via email, or face-to-face.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Small business experience, and familiar with BRCGS Standards would be an advantage.
This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday 36.75 hours per week, offering a salary circa £27,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
