Are you an organised and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment? Our client is seeking a Clerical Officer to support a ground-breaking mentoring programme aimed at widening access to higher education for young learners.
As part of the initiative, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the programme, which empowers learners aged 14-19 to achieve their potential through mentoring and guidance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling administrative tasks to support programme delivery
- Monitoring budgets, processing invoices, and ensuring compliance with funding guidelines
- Supporting data collection, evaluation processes, and reporting activities
- Organising events and providing essential support to programme participants and staff
- Collaborating with project partners to maintain seamless communication and coordination
We are keen to hear from you if you have the following:
- Previous experience in a similar clerical / administration-based role
- Essential: 5 GCSEs (Grades A*-C, including English and Maths) or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent organisational skills, and attention to detail
- A confident communicator, fluent in both English and Welsh
- Experience with financial systems or working in higher education environments is desirable
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a meaningful project that makes a real difference to young people’s lives. While primarily based in Bangor, the role does offer some flexibility for occasional remote working to support a healthy work-life balance.
This is a six-month, full time fixed term contract initially, working Monday – Friday 7.25 hours a day between 8.00 – 5.30. With an annual salary of £23,144 - £25,138 pro-rata depending on skills and experience.
