We’re seeking Temporary Retail Assistant to work on a part-time basis working with a well established organisation assisting with a brand new service offering. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others, especially those with disabilities, and supporting them in gaining valuable work experience.
In the Day Centre Retail Assistant role, you will be:
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the shop, ensuring it is welcoming, well-stocked, and organised.
- Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience.
- Supporting individuals with disabilities as they gain work experience and develop essential skills for future employment.
- Helping maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.
To be considered for the Day Centre Retail Assistant role, you will need:
- Previous experience within a retail setting would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
- Previous knowledge or experience in supporting individuals with disabilities.
- A genuine desire to support and empower individuals with disabilities to develop new skills and progress towards permanent employment.
- Hold an enhanced DBS certificate or the willingness to obtain one.
This is a temporary, part-time, ongoing role, for the period of 12 weeks, working 14 hours per week, this will include Saturday and Sunday working. Working hours will be 9:30am – 16:30 and has a payrate of £12.26 per hour plus holiday pay.
