We are recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join a dedicated Facilities team based in a beautiful location near the Conwy Valley. This rewarding temporary role offers the opportunity to support a well-respected charitable organisation providing vital care services to local children and families.
In the Maintenance Operative role, you will be:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Assisting with preventative maintenance and compliance checks
- Completing minor repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating
- Supporting fire safety, emergency lighting and water safety tasks
- Maintaining maintenance records and reporting faults
- Assisting with the upkeep of external areas and equipment
- Supporting contractors on site and following health & safety procedures
- Assisting the wider Facilities team with ongoing projects
To be considered, for the Maintenance Operative role, you will need:
- Previous maintenance or facilities experience
- A recognised trade qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Good all-round maintenance skills
- Strong communication and basic IT skills
- A reliable, flexible and proactive approach
- Good understanding of health & safety practices
- A full UK driving licence due to the location of the role

Full-time temporary assignment for approximately 2 months, working Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 16:00. The hourly payrate is £13.80 per hour + holiday pay accrued whilst on assignment.
