Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals and making a genuine difference in your community?

We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Abuse Floating Support Worker to provide vital support to individuals affected by domestic abuse across Penygroes, Gwynedd and the surrounding area. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is empathetic, resilient, and committed to empowering people to live safer, more independent lives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high-quality practical and emotional support to individuals affected by domestic abuse, helping them live safely, rebuild confidence, and achieve greater independence
  • Complete referrals, needs assessments, risk assessments, and personalised support plans
  • Maintain positive, professional, and trauma-informed relationships with service users, offering person-centred support focused on positive outcomes and wellbeing
  • Work closely with external agencies to advocate for and support service users
  • Maintain accurate case records, reports, and documentation in line with safeguarding requirements, data protection legislation, and organisational procedures
  • Support service users to access housing, benefits, education, training, volunteering, employment, and community opportunities to improve long-term stability and wellbeing

We are keen to see your CV if you have the following:

  • Previous experience in a similar role supporting vulnerable individuals or working within health, housing, social care, or domestic abuse services
  • Confident managing a caseload and working independently
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, professional, and able to build trust quickly
  • Can work flexibly as part of an on-call rota
  • Hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle (desirable due to travel across the area)
  • Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • Able to communicate in Welsh (Written and verbal)

This is a full-time temporary role (35 hours per week) including participation in an on-call rota, based in Penygroes and the surrounding area until 31/07/2026.

In exchange you will receive a  salary equivalent of £25,227 per annum (pro-rata), plus an on call allowance dependent on skills and experience.

If you’re looking for a role where you can truly make an impact every day, we’d love to hear from you.
