We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Abuse Floating Support Worker to provide vital support to individuals affected by domestic abuse across Penygroes, Gwynedd and the surrounding area. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide high-quality practical and emotional support to individuals affected by domestic abuse, helping them live safely, rebuild confidence, and achieve greater independence
- Complete referrals, needs assessments, risk assessments, and personalised support plans
- Maintain positive, professional, and trauma-informed relationships with service users, offering person-centred support focused on positive outcomes and wellbeing
- Work closely with external agencies to advocate for and support service users
- Maintain accurate case records, reports, and documentation in line with safeguarding requirements, data protection legislation, and organisational procedures
- Support service users to access housing, benefits, education, training, volunteering, employment, and community opportunities to improve long-term stability and wellbeing
We are keen to see your CV if you have the following:
- Previous experience in a similar role supporting vulnerable individuals or working within health, housing, social care, or domestic abuse services
- Confident managing a caseload and working independently
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, professional, and able to build trust quickly
- Can work flexibly as part of an on-call rota
- Hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle (desirable due to travel across the area)
- Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Able to communicate in Welsh (Written and verbal)
This is a full-time temporary role (35 hours per week) including participation in an on-call rota, based in Penygroes and the surrounding area until 31/07/2026.
In exchange you will receive a salary equivalent of £25,227 per annum (pro-rata), plus an on call allowance dependent on skills and experience.
