Do you enjoy being out on the road and providing great customer service? We’re seeking a dependable 7.5 Tonne Driver, to transport, install and demonstrate products for customers, ensuring everything is delivered safely, on time, and with a professional approach.
In the 7.5 Tonne Driver role, you will be:
- Loading the vehicle in line with the delivery schedule and planning efficient routes to ensure all deliveries are completed safely and on time.
- Delivering and unloading goods at the correct locations, ensuring accurate paperwork is provided and any discrepancies are reported.
- Installing and demonstrating products at customer premises, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Collecting payments where required and maintaining accurate delivery and returns records.
- Carrying out routine vehicle checks and maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the vehicle to uphold company standards.
- Ensuring compliance with tachograph regulations, company procedures, and all relevant health & safety, quality, and legal requirements.
To be considered for the 7.5 Tonne Driver role, you will need:
- A valid C1 (7.5T) driving licence, along with an up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- At least 1 years’ experience driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle, ideally within a multi-drop delivery environment.
- Experience with heavy or multi-drop deliveries, with furniture installation experience desirable.
- Confidence with manual handling and the physical fitness required for a hands-on delivery role.
- A friendly and professional approach, with strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- The ability to provide a customer-focused, door-to-door service while representing the company professionally.
This is a temporary ongoing opportunity working Monday to Thursday, averaging 42 hours per week across 4 days, with overtime paid at time and a half after 42 hours. The role is based in near Denbigh, with deliveries taking place across the UK, and will involve approximately three overnight stays per week. The pay rate is £13.50 per hour, plus overtime rates.
