Working as part of a close-knit maintenance team and reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring essential equipment performs at its best — Minimising downtime, improving efficiency, and contributing to continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned inspections and preventative maintenance on key machinery and equipment
- Responding efficiently to unplanned breakdowns, completing mechanical and electrical work safely and effectively
- Supporting production line start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers to maximise uptime
- Identifying and implementing improvements to boost performance and reliability
- Assisting with energy reduction projects and promoting high safety and GMP standards
- Working collaboratively with production teams to help deliver the daily plan
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Qualified in a relevant engineering discipline with at least 2–3 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience in food production or FMCG would certainly be an advantage
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical skills — knowledge of pneumatics, controls, and schematic reading desirable
- Awareness of HACCP, IOSH, and COSHH
- Excellent communication skills, IT literate, and confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Positive, enthusiastic, and safety-focused with great problem-solving ability
