Job Description

Are you an analytical and detail-focused professional with a passion for data, performance improvement and strategic insight? We are recruiting a Planning & Performance Support Officer to join a respected education institution, providing critical support in the preparation, analysis and reporting of performance data to drive informed decision-making and ensure corporate and regulatory compliance.

As a Planning & Performance Support Officer your duties will be to:

  • Extract, manipulate and interpret performance datasets
  • Maintain and update Power BI dashboards
  • Support the preparation of data for key performance indicators (KPIs) and business planning
  • Contribute to improving data collection and engineering processes
  • Conduct data quality audits and monitor implementation of corrective actions
  • Support the completion of regulatory data returns
  • Coordinate responses to internal and external data requests, including Freedom of Information (FOI) requests
  • Provide administrative and secretarial support to planning and performance-related committees
  • Contribute to awareness-raising initiatives and provide administrative support for staff training across the organisation

We would love to see your CV if you have:

  • Strong experience analysing and interpreting complex performance data
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and high-level numeracy
  • Proven ability to manage data from multiple systems with integrity
  • Knowledge of performance management, strategic planning and data-informed decision-making
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Power BI and Excel (Tableau experience desirable)
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently and take ownership
  • Understanding of GDPR, confidentiality and regulatory compliance

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for data-driven improvement and strategic insight to make a meaningful contribution to institutional effectiveness. In return you will receive a salary of £26,942 per annum (Pro-rata) working full-time Monday - Friday for 3 months initially.
