Bring your expertise in vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a key public sector fleet operation in North Wales. You'll play a vital role in keeping essential service vehicles operational, working within a skilled and supportive team.
In the Vehicle Technician role, you will be:
- Servicing, inspecting, and repairing a range of fleet vehicles and equipment
- Managing your own workload, liaising with users to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
- Diagnosing and repairing faults in heavy and light vehicles, using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
- Maintaining and repairing onboard systems including CCTV, telematics, and data terminals
- Carrying out welding and fabrication tasks as needed
- Conducting roadworthiness assessments and compiling detailed reports
- Accurately updating service records and maintenance logs using Fleet Management software
- Supporting a safe and tidy workshop environment and securing tools and vehicles when mobile
To be considered for the HGV Technician role, you will need:
- City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Experience in multi-make commercial vehicle maintenance and diagnostics
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills using diagnostic equipment
- IT proficiency across MS Office and fleet systems
- An LGV Category C licence (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
- Excellent communication, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard hours
This is a full-time temporary role, ongoing for the period of around 6 months. Working Monday to Friday totalling 37 hours per week. The payrate for this role will be £17.83 per hour + holiday pay.
