General Manager – Warehouse, Logistics & Production

We have an exciting opportunity for a hands-on General Manager to join an established and expanding family-owned manufacturing business on the Isle of Anglesey. This varied role will involve overseeing the day-to-day running of the site, covering warehouse, logistics, distribution, and a small plastic extrusion production facility. You will also take full responsibility for health and safety on site, as well as general administration and HR tasks.

This is a great opportunity for someone with supervisory or management experience in warehousing, logistics, or production who is looking to take on a broad role in a small, friendly team. While direct knowledge of plastic extrusion (PVC pipe) would be an advantage, it is not essential – what matters most is your ability to organise, motivate, and support staff while keeping operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support a small team.

• Oversee warehouse, logistics, and distribution operations, including goods in/out, stock control, and order processing.

• Supervise and coordinate production activities, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards maintained.

• Take full responsibility for health & safety compliance on site.

• Carry out general administrative duties, including HR and staff training.

• Promote a positive working environment and team culture.

• Maintain accurate records (ERP/MRP systems, stock levels, performance reports).

• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within warehouse, logistics, or production.

• Strong organisational and communication skills with a practical, hands-on approach.

• IT literate (Microsoft Office; ERP/MRP systems experience desirable).

• FLT Counterbalance experience/licence preferred but not essential.

• Knowledge of extrusion or plastics manufacturing would be beneficial but not required.

This is a hands-on role where you will be directly involved in both managing people and processes and supporting day-to-day operations. It would suit someone motivated, adaptable, and keen to make a real impact within a small but growing business. In return, you will receive a salary in circa of £35,000 per annum plus company benefits.
