In the Fleet Mechanic role, you will be:
- Maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles and equipment in line with safety, manufacturer, and MOT standards
- Completing necessary documentation and uphold electronic records
- Keeping workshop areas clean and compliant with Health and Safety regulations
- Coordinating with departments to meet service demands and deadlines
- Diagnose, repair, and conduct pre-MOT and periodic checks, including roadside recovery and electric vehicle assessments
To be considered for the Fleet Mechanic role, you must have:
- Previous experience within a similar role
- Minimum level 3 NVQ in Motor Mechanics or equivalent
- Knowledge of regulations for equipment use and lifting operations in fleet maintenance
- Ability or willingness to assess, test, and repair electric vehicles safely
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools for fault detection and electrical testing
- Skilled in using various hand and power tools
This is a temporary, full-time vacancy initially until January 2025, with the possibility to be extended. The role offers an hourly pay rate of £13.69 + holiday pay, with enhanced rates for working evenings and weekends.
This role is based near Colwyn Bay and the working hours will be on a shift pattern of either 7am – 3pm or 11am – 7pm Monday to Friday and alternate each week (although some flexibility can be offered).
