One of the leading educational establishments in North Wales, has an opportunity for a Funding and Compliance Officer to join its dynamic team based in Llangefni, Anglesey in a temporary full time position up until the end of December 2024.
Reporting to the Department Manager, as a Funding and Compliance Officer your main responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure compliance with grant scheme rules by correctly interpreting and implementing grant scheme funding rules, ensuring that only eligible expenditures are claimed, and all supporting evidence meets the necessary compliance requirements
- Manage financial and non-financial evidence by verifying, reconciling, and monitoring all financial and non-financial evidence to support grant claims, ensuring accuracy and completeness for timely submissions
- Liaise with stakeholders and support audits, collaborating with project managers and external auditors to ensure compliance with all grant requirements and assist with both internal and external audits
- Optimise grant eligibility and budgets, providing operational advice to maximise grant claim eligibility and manage project grant budgets, ensuring flexibility and full utilisation of available funding
- Maintain and operate EFU Systems, ensuring the accurate operation and continuous improvement of EFU systems and processes to maintain compliance with financial, procurement, and grant scheme regulations
We are keen to see your CV if you have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a similar Compliance and Funding based role with a demonstrable record of operating project grant systems and successfully implementing and applying Revenue Grant Funding rules
- Ability to hold a basic / intermediate conversation through the medium of Welsh (may struggle to keep up fully)
- Educated to level 3 with a good general standard of education to include GCSE at Grade C, or above, in English and Maths, or equivalent
- Prince 2 qualified at Foundation level or relevant experience
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office
- Ability to work to deadlines, in a confidential manner
- Ability to work as a team member and be flexible, adaptable, and approachable
- Ability to travel to different sites as and when required
- A Current Enhanced DBS Certificate, or willing to undertake a DBS check is essential
This is a full- time role working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday until the end of December 2024. In exchange, you will receive an hourly payrate of £14.15 per hour plus holiday pay.
