Job Description

Showcase your vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair skills within a busy Car Dealership based on the beautiful isle of Anglesey. Playing an integral role within the service centre helping to maintain customer vehicles whilst working as part of a team of multi-skilled vehicle technicians, gaining job satisfaction and the ability to progress in your career too!

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be:

  • Responsible for Diagnostics
  • Responsible for the day-to-day servicing, inspection, predictive and preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment
  • Preparing cars, vans and other vehicles ready for MOT test
  • Coordinating your own workload, prioritising day to day assigned tasks and liaising with Customers 
  • Diagnosing and repairing Heavy and Light Vehicle complex faults in varied systems
  • Using technical manuals, wiring schematics and diagnostic information to determine cost and time efficient repairs for a variety of vehicles
  • Accurately completing all job records and reports using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office
  • Contributing to a clean and safe working environment ensuring you adhere to relevant policies and procedures
  • Undertaking additional duties as necessary including being flexible and willing to adapt working patterns as required

To be considered for the Vehicle Technician role, you must have:

  • Minimum 5 Years experience within a similar role
  • Minimum level 3 NVQ in Motor Mechanics or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience in multi make Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or possess the ability to achieve this)
  • A high level of competency in diagnostic/electrical fault finding and rectification using diagnostic equipment
  • IT skills; using computers, Microsoft Office packages, and the ability to produce and interpret reports and spreadsheets
  • Experience driving a range of vehicles from small cars to Large Goods Vehicles or possess the ability to achieve this
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety at work requirements relevant to the role
  • Excellent communication, prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, quick thinking with excellent problem solving
  • Flexible in order to work out of hours when required to
  • Good Customer Service skills
  • Full UK driving licence and able to drive a range of vehicles
  • MOT Tester would be advantageous 
This role is being offered on a permanent full time basis working 40 hours a week minimum. In return you will receive an attractive competitive salary depending on skills and experience PLUS Company benefits.
