Job Description

Looking to use your reception and administration skills within a supportive organisation where you can make a genuine difference to the local community? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, forward-thinking team as a Medical Receptionist, where you’ll be part of a friendly and supportive working environment.

In the Medical Receptionist role, you will be:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for customers, providing a warm, professional and welcoming service.
  • Managing digital triage queries and support customers in using new online systems.
  • Handling enquiries, appointments, orders and samples efficiently and accurately.
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support using internal systems, Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Calendars.
  • Maintaining a calm and solution-focused approach when dealing with queries or challenging situations.
  • Supporting the wider team with the smooth running of reception and administrative processes.
  • Ensuring information is always recorded accurately and confidentially.

To be successful in the Medical Receptionist role, you will need:

  • Previous reception and administration experience, ideally gained within a busy customer-facing environment.
  • Confident IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly. EMIS experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with conflict calmly and professionally.
  • A proactive and positive approach, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • A professional, approachable and reliable manner.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity, working 37 hours per week. Shifts will fall between 8:00am and 6:30pm, with your exact working pattern varying depending on the rota.

The role is offering £13.30 per hour + holiday pay, along with a range of benefits and the opportunity to become an important part of a supportive local organisation.

If you are looking for a varied, customer-focused role where you can use your skills to make a genuine impact from day one, we would love to hear from you.
