Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter available for an immediate start? We are recruiting for a hands-on maintenance professional to join a busy industrial site near Bangor for an initial 4-week temporary assignment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, supporting essential plant operations and maintenance activities.
Duties will include:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on fixed plant machinery
- Supporting plant improvement and maintenance projects
- Completing risk assessments and associated health & safety paperwork
- Liaising with site management and operations teams regarding repair priorities and maintenance requirements
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical faults efficiently
- Using pulling and lifting equipment safely and effectively
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in mechanical fitting and industrial maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with conveyors, pumps, pipes, valves, filter systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings and gearboxes
- A good understanding of health, safety and environmental procedures
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team
- The ability to drive and access to own vehicle as site not on public transport
This is a full-time temporary role that will include working weekends, for approximately 4 weeks initially, based near Bangor, Gwynedd. With an hourly pay rate of £16.50 + holiday pay
