Job Description

Are you looking to develop your career within the hospitality industry? An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Food and Beverage Assistants, to within a prestigious Hotel and Restaurant complex.

Reporting to the Hotel & Restaurant Manager you will be responsible for dispensing food and drinks to customers in the bar and restaurant.  Contribute to the provision of room service and any other catering arrangements held at the hotel. 

As a Food and Beverage Assistant your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Greet guests on arrival for lunch and dinner. Taking orders for drinks, seating guests and presenting them with menus and wine lists
  • To ensure that the service of meals and beverages for floor service and lounge service are correct and proper
  • Presenting and pouring wine and water for guests in restaurant, continually revisiting the tables to pour drinks for the customers
  • To assist and physically take part in the service of meals, room service, snacks or any other service provided to guests from the dining room
  • To assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring the correct service of dishes at the guests’ table according to the standards of the Hotel in order to maximise seat occupancy

To assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring that: -

  • Standards of cleanliness are exemplary in the restaurant and associated areas
  • Orders are processed correctly and ensure that tables are laid correctly and to the required standard following each meal
  • To comply with the Company’s procedures in case of complaint from customers
  • Keeping bar area clean and tidy at all times and clearing tables in dining room of glasses, wine bottles, jugs etc. after guests have left
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic stock of drinks glasses at all times

  • Proven experience in a  bar / waiting on role
  • The ability to deliver a constant customer service experience within a fast paced and challenging environment and remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to drive due to location
  • Confidence working across all sections of the operation
  • Ability to work flexible hours across a 7 day a week business including evenings & weekends

We have both permanent  and temporary position working approximately 40 – 50 hours per week, 5 days across 7 which will include evenings and weekends on a rota basis with an hourly pay rate of £9.50 incudes holiday pay.

Applicants must have previous experience of working on a bar or restaurant. Having a driving licence and car would be advantageous due to the location of work.
