Job Description

One of the leading educational establishments in North Wales, has an opportunity for a Bilingual Student Advisor to join its friendly team based near the historic market town of Dolgellau, Gwynedd. 

In this customer centric administration role, you will be providing an effective, efficient and friendly student financial support service to prospective students and learners.  Duties will include providing a help-desk facility, providing information and guidance on arranging of student financial support products and services, administering student finance funds, receiving and recording applications for student financial services, inputting and maintaining data records.

In the Student Advisor Job, your duties will be:

  • To respond promptly and effectively to all enquiries regarding courses, services and learning opportunities
  • To administer comprehensive systems and procedures for the provision of a friendly and efficient service to prospective and existing learners
  • To ensure customers receive accurate information in a timely, professional and friendly manner
  • To respond appropriately to enquiries in English and Welsh
  • To work with and support staff to undertake a range of admissions, threshold and administration duties
  • To provide an effective information, administrative and data inputting service in the delivery of student finance schemes
  • Maintain accurate student records for audit purposes.
  • Liaise with appropriate staff, both lecturers and business support staff, in relation to completion of the registers of attendance.

We are really keen to see your CV you have the following skills and experience:

  • Excellent communication and personal skills to work effectively with students and staff through the medium of Welsh and English
  • Educated to level 3 with a good general standard of education to include GCSE at Grade C, or above, in English, or equivalent
  • Proven administrative and organisational skills including dealing with confidential information.
  • Possess and demonstrate a full range of excellent IT skills
  • Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure and prioritise workload accordingly
  • A Current Enhanced DBS Certificate, or willing to undertake a DBS check is essential

In exchange you will receive a pay rate of £9.87 per hour plus holiday pay.  This is a full-time temporary role working Monday to Friday for an initial four-week period.
