Health and Safety Officer job, St Asaph, North Wales

If you are looking for a permanent full time role working within a well-established global manufacturer then the Health and Safety Officer job in St Asaph, North Wales could be the opportunity for you.
The role will be to provide a safe workplace environment, without risk to health, and ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are updated, monitored, measured and achieved. You will take an active part in working across functional teams to coordinate, support and advise the organisation on all aspects of health and safety. You will establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems, and ensure that these are all adhered to.
In the Health and Safety Officer job, St Asaph, North Wales your duties will include:
  • Investigating and recording incidents, accidents, complaints and cases of ill health.
  • Preparing and carrying out internal and external audits, including ISO9001:2015.
  • Carrying out risk assessments (COSHH, PUWER, DSEAR etc) and site inspections.
  • Review/update health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Implementing and update safe operational practices.
  • Making presentations to all stakeholders.
  • Arranging relevant training for employees.
  • To forge and maintain relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and communicate changes to the organisation.
  • To analyse data and provide regular statistics/reports to Snr. Management/Directors to aid decision making.
  • Participating in meetings, when required to report on health and safety matters to all stakeholders.

For the Health and Safety Officer job, St Asaph, North Wales you will need:

  • 2/3 years experience of working in a health and safety role
  • NEBOSH qualification
  • The ability to remain calm, but assertive under pressure
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office
  • A professional and confidential approach, along with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • The ability to work on own initiative
  • The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
This is a full time permanent role working 36 hours per week, with an attractive salary of £32,196 per year along with a benefits package including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
