Job Description
Purchase Ledger Clerk Job, Bangor, North Wales

Do you have a head for numbers and experience working as a Purchase Ledger Clerk? We have an exciting full-time, permanent opportunity for a driven finance assistant to provide support to the team within a dynamic environment. You will be joining an established business working within a busy accounts department, based in a modern office in a full-time permanent role in Bangor, North Wales. 

In the Purchase Ledger Clerk Job, Bangor, North Wales you will be responsible for:

 
  • Administration of purchase ledger invoices and payments.
  • Obtaining authorisation of invoices from managers.
  • Checking invoices/ delivery notes for discrepancies.
  • Requesting credit notes.
  • Resolving queries with suppliers.
  • Apply cost codes/ nominal codes to invoices/ input invoice.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationship with suppliers, ensuring discounts are obtained and credit accounts are kept open.
  • Administer supplier payments.
  • Administer and maintain filing system.
  • Ad Hoc duties as and when required.

To be considered for the Purchase Ledger Clerk Job, Bangor, North Wales you will need:

 
  • Good knowledge of sage line 50 accounting software.
  • Previous experience working with Purchase Ledger within a finance role.
  • Excellent IT Skills, proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel to an intermediate level.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to plan own workload.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with difficult calls and situations in a professional and controlled manner.
  • Required to work to detailed instructions and make some decisions involving the use of some judgment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, to tight deadlines and targets.
  • Property experience preferred.

This is a full time, permanent role working Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm and Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm with a salary of £18,000 - £22,000 per annum (dependent on experience) 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and company benefits.
