Electronic Assembly/Production Technician Job , Bangor, North Wales

Are you an Electronic Assembly Technician with good knowledge of Instrumentation assembly, test and calibrations, eager to advance your career and join a growing company?

You will be joining a growing instrumentation company and one of the only UK companies to manufacture its own range of products for their specialist market. Our client has designed and developed an advanced range of products following several years of research and development and as part of their growth plans it is relocating its offices to Gwynedd in North Wales. Now seeking an electronics assembly technician to join its new team in Bangor, offering a competitive salary, benefit and bonus package. 

As an Electronic Assembly/Production Technician Job, Bangor, North Wales you will be responsible for:

  • Instrumentation assembly, test, calibration and QA.
  • System repair and maintenance.
  • Maintenance of relevant ISO 9001 protocols and documentation.
  • Maintain stock systems.
  • Electronics fault finding and diagnosis.
  • Primary point of contact for product technical support.
  • Prepare and maintain assembly work instructions.
  • Prepare and maintain test instructions, technical documentation and procedures.
  • Maintain Quality Assurance standards.

To be considered for the Electrical Assembly/Production Technician Job, Bangor, North Wales you must have:

  • Qualified to HNC Electrical/Electronic discipline or equivalent (consideration for suitable experience).
  • Minimum 16th Edition.
  • At least 3 years' experience in an electronics environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar technical role.
  • Conversant with the use of fault-finding devices such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
  • Experience of assembling, testing and calibration.
  • Experience of fault finding at component level.
  • Excellent workshop skills.
  • Be highly competent in all aspects of IT.
  • Good verbal and written English skills with the ability to convey clear instructions and write concise technical documents.

  • Awareness of the importance of customer service.
  • Fully computer literate.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week on a salary of £20,000 - £28,000 per annum depending on experience plus OTE of up to £31,000, 21 days holidays plus Bank Holidays and Statutory Pension.
