Community Wellbeing Officer Job, Colwyn Bay, North Wales

Are you looking to work within a large public sector organisation on a full time temporary basis? As our clients first tier preferred supplier we have an immediate opportunity for somebody who is experienced in the field of Economy, youth and Community work to develop programmes of well-being activities which support people to remain independent and self-caring in key places around Conwy.

In the role of Community Wellbeing Officer Job, Colwyn Bay, North Wales you will be: 
  • Establishing and sustaining a network of community, statutory, and voluntary sector representatives to support the development of a programme of activities
  • Developing community engagement procedures to ensure that people from all sections of the communities are actively involved in the well-being programme
  • Working cooperatively with other programmes and initiatives serving the community with a focus on community well-being to lead to developing imaginative and sustainable solutions to the issues identified
  • Planning the potential resources which may be attracted to the area from a range of sources including Government bodies, business, charitable trusts and funds etc.
  • Developing protocols and procedures for the development of future programmes
  • Working alongside partners to plan how to evaluate the programme and how to assess impact within the community
  • Providing ongoing management information and progress reports to agreed deadlines
  • Consulting with the community to ensure that local interests and needs are reflected
To be considered for the Community Well-being Officer Job, Colwyn Bay, North Wales you must have:
  • A Degree or relevant experience in the field of Economy, or Youth and Community work
  • The ability to communicate in both Welsh and English
  • Proven experience of working within communities, managing projects, developing and planning community programmes
  • The ability to produce written material on time and to a high standard; Report writing and good analytical skills
  • Team building, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences and work with people from a range of diverse backgrounds
  • Full driving license and car available for work use
This is a temporary full time (37 hours, 5 days per week) position with an ASAP start and is expected to last approximately 3 months. The hourly rate is £11.25 per hour plus any accrued holiday time whilst on the assignment.
