In the Nature Coordinator role, you will be:
- Coordinating and delivering local habitat and species enhancement projects, working closely with communities, businesses, public bodies and volunteers
- Actively contributing to the Local Nature Partnership, supporting regional nature recovery plans
- Helping raise environmental awareness through events, volunteer coordination and partnership working with local organisations
- Managing project budgets and reporting for the Local Places for Nature fund, ensuring compliance and timely submissions
To be successful, you will need:
- Previous relevant experience within ecological knowledge, including key legislation
- Understanding of biodiversity threats such as climate change and invasive species, plus basic wildlife survey experience
- Strong communication skills, with confidence in public speaking and engaging schools, community groups and stakeholders
- Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt priorities as needed while working both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Microsoft Office, GIS mapping, internet tools, and ideally, project budget management
This is a temporary 6 month assignment working full-time hours, 37 hours per week. You'll be based throughout Conwy County and you'll be starting on an hourly rate of £16.37 per hour + overtime and benefits.
