Are you a talented Content Creator or Communication Officer seeking your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Officer to join a well-established organisation. In this role, you'll craft clear, compelling content for a variety of mediums, including print, web, video, and social media. You’ll work closely with a creative team to brainstorm ideas, develop innovative concepts, and deliver impactful messaging.
In the Communications Officer role, you will be:
- Identifying key messages and simplify complex information.
- Communicating regularly with residents and colleagues via phone, email, or in person.
- Developing content that is persuasive or informative.
- Finding compelling angles for articles and craft engaging narratives.
- Writing for various platforms, including web pages, promotional materials, blogs, emails, social media, and video scripts.
- Creating additional digital content as needed.
To be considered for the Communications Officer role, you must have:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in journalism, English, communications, or 3 years of relevant experience.
- 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
- Strong writing, research, and proofreading skills; familiar with standard style guides.
- Able to work independently or collaboratively to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Detail-oriented with an appreciation for good design.
This is a temporary, part-time role (16 hours per week) based on a hybrid model, requiring one office day per month near Llandudno Junction. The pay is up to £20.00 per hour, depending on previous skills and experience plus holiday pay. The role is ongoing until March 2025 on a temporary basis.
