We have a permanent opportunity for a motivated and passionate Cook preparing tasty traditional meals using fresh ingredients all from a stunning location based on the beautiful island of Anglesey.
As a Cook you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and presenting high volume quality meals as well as catering for special dietary requirements
- Maintaining kitchen hygiene, kitchen safety, and a high standard of cleanliness at all times
- Stock management
- Complying with all legislations including Food Hygiene standards and COSHH procedures
We are interested in seeing your CV if you have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience as a Cook working in a busy kitchen with the ability to produce 3 meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and evening meal)
- Worked previously in a school kitchen style setting
- Practical experience of food and beverage best practice including the production and service of good quality food
- Knowledge of Health & Safety compliance requirements
- Current Food Hygiene certificate
- An enhanced DBS or willing to undertake one
- A keen interest in food, including the use of fresh, local and seasonal ingredients
- Good customer experience and interpersonal skills
This is a permanent role working 30 hours per week annualised over 39 weeks per year on a shift rotation with an hourly pay rate of £12.19, with enhanced rates to £15.23 per hour for weekend work.
Typically, early shifts one week (breakfast + lunch service), late shifts the next week (evening meal service), cooking school meal style food to approximately 350 guests, 3 meals per day. Early shift is 6.30am – 14.30pm, and the late shift is 11.30am – 19.30pm.
