Job Description
Are you looking to utilise your accounts and customer service skills and experience within a new and exciting part-time role? A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced and confident Finance Officer to join a public sector organisation working within busy office environment.
Based in the idyllic University city of Bangor, under the supervision of the Finance manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance of all financial records as well as the calculation and payment of salaries and wages. 
As a Finance Officer, you will be responsible for:
  • Management of the companies bank accounts and investments including transferring of funds between accounts
  • Production of Analysis reports on accounts and preparing the final accounts for audit
  • Projection of project income and expenditure summaries with profit/loss analysis
  • Preparing and Submitting quarterly VAT Returns
  • Processing payroll & Updating records on Sage Line 50 & Sage Payroll
  • Banking and Petty cash payments 
  • Answering calls and dealing with enquiries 
  • General office duties
We would love to see your CV if you have the following skills and experience:
  • Experience of working in an office environment
  • Experience with SAGE 50 and SAGE PAYROLL (Essential)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Data entry skills
  • Understanding of basic bookkeeping
  • Experience in accounts payable and knowledge of accounts payable principles
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
This is a Permanent, part-time job working 4 days a week. Working hours will be be around 30 hours per week, offering a Hybrid working environment (Minimum 2 days a week in Office). In return, you will receive a salary in circa of £25,000 per annum pro-rata depending on experience.
