Join a well-established organisation as a Technical Assistant in this brand-new opportunity where you will be providing operational and technical support to Management and the department.
In the role of Technical Assistant you will be:
- Providing support and assistance to the Streetworks department, by maintaining an accurate and up-to-date register and database
- Liaising with internal and external departments to manage electronically submitted notices of works and facilitating the coordination of works
- Recording, reporting and issuing defect notifications whilst investigating and responding to complaints concerning Street works matters
- Investigate and respond to complaints concerning Street works matters
To be considered for the Technical Assistant role you must have:
- Knowledge and understanding of Street Works legislation and Codes of Practice
- Previous experience in maintaining data bases and using GIS systems
- Excellent IT, numeracy and literacy skills with attention to detail
- Ability to write and prepare clear and concise reports
- A full clean UK driving licence and ability to travel through Conwy and Denbighshire when required
This is a temporary full time (37 hours per week) position, for a period of approximately 12 weeks. The hourly rate is £9.00 per hour plus any accrued holiday time whilst on the assignment.
The role will initially be home based until Covid lockdown rules have been sufficiently relaxed to allow us to return to an office environment.
