Job Description
An exciting opportunity for a Production Planning Assistant from a manufacturing background to join a leading global manufacturer and supplier who places great emphasis on staff investment and development. Joining the team you will be supported but will have responsibility for your own duties within the role. 

This growing manufacturer based in Bangor are widely known for their excellent client service and staff retention. Beginning its life back in the the 60's this company quickly gained a reputation for developing innovative products within their industry as well as maintaining its excellent service and as such continued to expand its product line to meet demand and supply to a wider network whilst obtaining a number of awards along the way.

As a production planning assistant your role will include;

  • Evaluating sales orders to create suitable production schedules.
  • Assist with verifying the amount of material, equipment, and labour required for production.
  • Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimise delays in production.
  • Coordinating production operations in accordance with material, labour, and equipment availability.
  • Manage the coordination of all subcontracting relationships and processes, liaising directly with the contractors and production to ensure deadlines are adhered to.
  • Effecting changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
  • Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.
  • Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules
  • Ensuring any administration is correct along all aspects of production

I am keen to speak to anyone with the following skills or experience:

  • Advanced Excel skills - this will be skills tested as part of your application
  • A Manufacturing Background (MRP Experience)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and ERP Systems
  • Knowledge of the production process
This is a full-time permanent position working 39 hours a week, Monday to Friday. In return you will receive a salary of up to £22,000 dependent on experience alongside company benefits.
