Job Description

We have an opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger/Bookkeeper to join a successful, rapidly growing company in a full time, permanent, role that offers a great salary, supported study, and the chance to develop your career!     

Based in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the Gwynedd coast, in this varied account role you will be responsible for meeting the day to day demands of the accounts payable function which includes purchase ledger & book keeping. Reporting directly to the Management Accountant you will be working with a friendly, driven team in an idyllic location.

As Purchase Ledger/Bookkeeper you will be responsible for:

  • All aspects of purchase ledger
  • Posting of supplier invoices and reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Preparing weekly payment runs & month ends
  • Issuing remittances
  • Creating and posting the accrual and prepayment journals
  • Bank reconciliation and daily cash forecasting
  • Sales/nominal ledger maintenance
  • General accounts tasks and other duties as necessary

We are keen to see your CV if you have the following skills or experience;

  • Proven recent experience of purchase ledger / accounts payable
  • AAT Qualification or working towards
  • Strong Accounts Payable experience (2 years minimum)
  • Previous experience of accruals, prepayments and journals
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Have the ability to manage, plan and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines

This is a full-time permanent role, working Monday – Friday 40 hours per week, with a salary of up to £21,000 dependent on skills and experience

This role would be commutable from, Pwllheli, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Porthmadog, Caernarfon, Bangor parts of Anglesey or Conwy.  Successful applicants would need a full UK licence and own vehicle.
