Job Description

An established and expanding Manufacturing business working within the aerospace and defence sector are seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to join their North Wales based team.

As an Embedded Systems Engineer you will be working on cutting-edge programs to provide innovative equipment onto new aircraft platforms, in addition to:

  • Developing software for motors/generators based on microcontrollers or FPGAs.
  • Leading the discipline within the business.
  • Working on high profile programs, already awarded to the business.
  • Using the latest software tools.
  • Integration into a Dynamic cross functional team with a ‘start-up’ mentality.
  • Attending design reviews, conferences and test activities both locally and globally.

The ideal Embedded Systems Engineer will have:

  • Embedded systems experience
  • Knowledge of DO178C processes (preferred)
  • Knowledge of DO254 processes (preferred)
  • Analogue circuit design
  • Digital circuit design
  • Experience with motor control software, PWM etc. (preferred)

This position would suit an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer who wishes to work on leading edge products and technology, who enjoy autonomy and being part of the strategic direction in a dynamic team.  You will be joining a team of engineers who are the best at what they do and can work methodically at pace for formal development programs (for flight). All are well supported by a dynamic multi skilled EASA part 21 factory including electronic and mechanical manufacturing capability. A lot of theoretical and hands on work will be required but it will be highly rewarding.
