In the Life Skills Coach job, you will be:
  • Assisting customers in the development of independent living skills by helping them to address the root cause of homelessness whilst identifying and obtaining practical support to facilitate independent living
  •  Empowering customers to achieve the goals laid out in their independence plan and working towards lifestyle improvements
  • Maintaining accurate records and efficient administration systems and office procedures ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date with different levels of risk, complexity, severity and strengths
  • To create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships both internally and externally, and to challenge inappropriate, unproductive behaviours or behaviours or values that do not replicate those of the company
To be considered for the Life Skills Coach job, you must have:
  • Previous experience of supporting vulnerable adults in either a floating support or supported accommodation service working directly supporting vulnerable adults with life skills
  • Strong IT, communication and customer support skills
  • Ability to motivate people to engage in a variety of interventions to develop their ability to live independently
  • An ability to work under pressure, with good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • A flexible, resilient, thoughtful, therapeutic approach to working with people who have experienced homelessness 
  • Knowledge of housing legislation, housing issues, and homelessness legislation
  • A full driving license and car available for work use due to travelling within the role
  • Current Enhanced DBS
This is a temporary full time (37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday) position initially for a period of 4-6 weeks and is based in Rhyl. This role is office based however there will be elements of travelling to clients own properties however policies and procedures are in place following Government guidelines due to COVID-19.  
The hourly rate is £9.00 per hour plus any accrued holiday time whilst on the assignment.
