Job Description

A respected, worldwide organisation with over seventy years’ experience in manufacturing and design has a great opportunity for a Material Scheduler / Planner.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is really organised, quick thinking and adaptable, experienced in processing and handling data and able to deal with supplier negotiations.  You will be working for a forward-thinking company with the opportunity for career progression and supported by a friendly team of co-workers based in Llangefni, Anglesey.  

As the Material Scheduler / Planner your duties will be to:

  • Maintain all elements of the supply chain and seek to improve purchasing processes
  • Continuously review approved suppliers
  • Ensure supplier orders are managed to tight deadlines
  • Raise purchase orders from the MRP system ensuring timely placement and delivery of components in line with production planning requirements
  • Carry out visits to key suppliers and report back findings
  • Work with suppliers over material quality
  • Review current service contracts to achieve cost savings or improved support
  • Review, maintain and improve the purchasing process throughout the company
  • To ensure compliance with relevant internal (and external) procedures and regulations
  • Attend regular production / purchasing meetings

  • Previous experience in a similar scheduling / data handling role
  • Good organisational skills and able to prioritise
  • Fully proficient in Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Willing to learn and add value to the position
  • Educated to GCSE standard C and above in English and Maths (or equivalent)

In exchange you will receive a competitive starting salary of £18,000 per annum, 26 days holiday per year and pension. This is a permanent, full time role with an early finish on a Friday!
