Job Description
Senior PA/HR Manager, Bangor, North Wales
 
A rare opportunity for a varied and interesting senior management position has become available. We are seeking an experienced, assertive and enthusiastic Senior PA/ HR Manager with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion working within a well-established global manufacturer.
 
You will take an active part in working across functional teams to coordinate, support and advise the organisation on all aspects of health and safety, HR and training. You will establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems, and ensure that these are all adhered to.
 
As a PA/HR Manager, Bangor, North Wales you will be responsible for:
 
PA:
  • Set up, manage and coordinate monthly Board meetings
  • Collecting, organising and distribute information, documents required for meetings
  • Minute taking and transcribe board meetings
  • Ensure minute books are maintained with certified copies of the minutes
  • Assist directors as required
  • Maintain and update Organisation chart and Responsibility Matrix
  • Maintain membership and information flow to government and trade/industry bodies
HR:
  • Act as first point of contact for staff and managers regarding HR queries
  • Minute and help conduct disciplinary and grievance meetings and capability reviews in accordance with ACAS guidelines
  • Monitor attendance and lateness
  • Conduct back to work interviews together with line managers
  • Advise line managers as to correct procedures
  • Primary contact for new hire staff vacancies, liaison with recruitment resources
  • Interview administration and support for new staff
  • Deal with any redundancies
  • Keep up to date with employment law
  • Treat all employees fairly but firmly
  • Implement annual appraisal system, and administer ongoing outcomes
  • Update training matrix in line with appraisal objectives
Training:
  • Liaise with managers/line managers as to training requirements

  • Keep records of training undertaken. Advise and inform managers of renewal requirements

  • Update and maintain the training matrix

H & S:

  • Collate induction packs
  • Organise and minute H & S meetings

  • Keep accident records and inform RIDDOR if applicable

To be considered for the Senior PA/HR Manager you must have:
  • At least 5 years' experience or CIPD qualifications
  • Experience of working in a fast paced business environment and working to tight deadlines
  • Experience of recruitment, interviewing and assessment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
This is a Permanent position working approximately 30 hours a week over a 4 day period with the possibility of some flexibility. The salary will be between £30,000 to £33,500 pro rata depending on experience.
