Job Description
An international technology powerhouse is searching for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their forward-thinking team! Our client, based in the Snowdonia National Park, have an outstanding global network for which they manufacture and supply technologies used in hospitals across the world. As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for the overall quality assurance throughout the supply of materials. Within this, it is the Supplier Quality Engineer’s task to ensure continual support across product engineering support whilst undertaking regular assessments and analysis of the overall performance of suppliers. It is the role of the Supplier Quality Engineer to continually liaise, and act as the point of contact, between procurement, manufacturing and engineering throughout the assessment and correction of material quality issues.

Key Responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer:

  • Focus on ensuring that all quality requirements are met throughout the supply of materials
  • Effective and timely actions taken to close all supplier deals
  • Support strategic procurement
  • Introduce support for new materials and material changes
  • Design and evaluate quality system processes
  • Undertake risk assessment when introducing or reviewing supplier capabilities
  • Point of contact for guidance throughout external departments as to supplier quality requirements
  • Relay and communicate appropriate implementation of quality process specifications, quality control and raw material specifications
  • Conduct on site quality and process assessment
The successful Supplier Quality Engineer would have the following skills and experience  
  • Educated to a degree level in a science or engineering subject
  • Previous experience in a quality control position in a medical or technological company
  • Understanding of industry regulation
  • Full model understanding throughout different functional areas such as manufacturing, finance, logistics
  • Ability to show thorough understanding of Supplier Quality Management function
