Job Description

Are you an experience Analyst Programmer looking for the opportunity to utilise your analytical skills within a highly driven software environment? Our client, an internationally renown gaming organisation, are searching for a heavily technical Analyst Programmer to join their internal teams. As the Analyst Programmer, you will be responsible for the continual development and improvements on scripts whilst also carrying out critical code reviews of source code across different gaming projects.  

As an analyst programmer you will be involved in theoretical and empirical analysis of code. As part of your role you will

  • Develop scripts to extract data for analysis
  • Reviewing the outputs from statistics framework into Excel format
  • Software testing programs to monitor behaviour and outputs.
  • Reviewing the work of other analysts
  • Carrying out critical code reviews of source code

The successful Analyst Programmer will have the following skills and experience:

  • 2 years commercial experience in Groovy/Java
  • Experience of one or more programming languages (e.g. C#/C++, PHP, Python)
  • Experience of data analysis
  • Experience of working in a Linux/Ubuntu environment is essential
  • Strong statistical background highly desirable
  • Experience of Version control (SVN/Git)
  • Educated to degree level in Computer Science, Mathematics or Science

You will be working in modern office working near Bangor, North Wales, hours are Monday to Friday, 37 hour per week. Benefits include pension, 25 days annual leave plus statutory days.
